Saturday, Dec. 7 vs. Long Beach State: Grinchmas/Teddy Bear Toss
• Celebrate the Holiday season by wearing all green when attending Saturday’s matchup against rival Long Beach State. Be on the lookout as a grumpy green fella may pop up to ruin it all for his benefit this “Grinchmas.”
• Be a part of our second annual Teddy Bear Toss by bringing a stuffed animal to the game! When the game concludes and the floor is clear, all fans can toss their stuffed friend onto the court to be collected and donated to Toys for Toys.
• First Hawaiian Bank will be the game sponsor and fans will have a chance to win a gift card or t-shirt throughout the night.
Thursday, Jan. 9 vs. UC Riverside: Big Dawg Season
• Over the past four-plus years, Daejah Phillips has left her mark on the Rainbow Wahine program with her aggressive play and memorable sound bites. Daejah is known as the “Big Dawg” and the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a commemorative poster of No. 15 to celebrate Daejah and her stellar career.
Thursday, Jan. 23 vs. UC Davis: Pride Night
• Everyone is accepted and loved at Rainbow Wahine basketball games, and on this night we shine the spotlight on the LBGTQ community.
Saturday, Jan. 25 vs. UC Irvine: Beeman’s Bigger Bash
• It’s the party of the year as we host Beeman’s Bigger Bash! Building on Beeman’s Big Bash last season, the goal this time around is the first sellout at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center for a stand-alone women’s basketball game! Plans for the night include numerous door prizes and guest appearances. For those who have never been to a Rainbow Wahine basketball game, this is the one to go to and you’ll be a fan for life! You’ll know more about it leading up to gameday, but once you get in the door there will be many surprises to look forward to as you enjoy the night!
• American Savings Bank will be the sponsor of the night, supplying some can’t-miss giveaways.
Thursday, Feb. 6 vs. Cal Poly: Viva Las Vegas
• They call Las Vegas the 9th Island and we’ll channel the energy of Vegas with action around the court. Test your luck by saying “hit me” on 15, or give it a roll of the dice!
Saturday, Feb. 8 vs. UC Santa Barbara: Black History Month/Queen B Celebration
• Celebrate the history of Black Americans and their incredible impact on our islands while we play all the hits of music icon Beyonce.
Saturday, Feb. 22 vs. UC San Diego: Pink Game
• In partnership with Hawaii Pacific Health we put the spotlight on the fight against cancer, and ask you to wear pink in solidarity to stand against the disease.
Saturday, March 8 vs. CSUN: Show’UHM Your Aloha Senior Night
• We say Aloha and Mahalo to eight seniors who have accomplished many historic feats while representing our state and the Rainbow Wahine program. We partner with University of Hawai‘i Federal Credit Union to send our seniors off the only way we know how, with leis, tears, and laughs. All fans are encouraged to wear their favorite aloha shirt in honor of the graduating seniors.
