Taylor Moore holds the solo lead after an opening 7-under 63 in Japan. Meanwhile, World No. 2 Xander Schauffele didn’t record a bogey yet shot over par on the day.
The total purse is $8.5 million with $1.53 million going to the winner, who will also receive 500 FedEx Cup points and a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour.
