28-year-old Wausau man dies from injuries suffered in Dec. 30 Marathon County crash

WAUSAU − A 28-year-old Wausau man involved in a two-vehicle crash Dec. 30 in Marathon County has died from his injuries.

Elroy F. Hendrickson, 28, of Wausau, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries after the Dec. 30 crash near the intersection of State 52 and Marathon County X in the town of Wausau, according to a Saturday news release from the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office said it has been notified by the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office that Hendrickson died as a result of his injuries.

No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash, the release said.

The Marathon County Forensic Mapping Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident, according to the release.
