4-star Albany PG, who was mulling second Syracuse basketball visit, names final three

Keyshuan Tillery, a fast-rising 2025 four-star point guard who held a Syracuse basketball offer, is down to three finalists.

The Orange isn’t one of them.

Per various reports from recruiting analysts and national writers, the 6-foot-1 Tillery has a final three that includes fellow Atlantic Coast Conference schools Virginia and Wake Forest, along with Cincinnati out of the Big 12 Conference. Tillery’s college decision is expected to come soon, according to analysts.

Naturally, I’m wishing Keyshuan all the best as his recruitment comes to a close.

The Albany, N.Y., native played quite well this spring and summer for the 17U team of the Albany-based City Rocks in Nike’s EYBL league. That helped fuel a rise in his 2025 rankings as well as an expanded offer sheet for Tillery, who has evolved into one of the top point guards in the senior class and is currently rated inside the top 50 nationally by ESPN.

In addition to his excellent performances over the past few months with the City Rocks, Tillery is a standout senior at the New Hampton School in New Hampton, N.H.

In late August of last year, Tillery took an unofficial visit to the ‘Cuse to play in the Orange’s annual Elite Camp. It was around that time that the Syracuse basketball staff offered him a scholarship.

More recently, various reports indicated that Tillery was thinking about a possible second visit to the ‘Cuse. I recently confirmed that with two sources of my own. However, such a visit didn’t materialize, and Tillery has his final three.

To date, Syracuse basketball has one verbal pledge in its 2025 cycle. In late May, five-star forward and top-15 national prospect Sadiq White Jr. from Charlotte, N.C., verbally committed to the Orange.

In recent days, 2025 four-star guard Acaden Lewis from Washington, D.C., who had Syracuse basketball in his top eight, disclosed a top four that didn’t include the ‘Cuse. London Jemison, a 2025 four-star wing/forward from Connecticut, also recently trimmed his list to three. The Orange, which had been in Jemison’s top six, isn’t among his three finalists.

Derek Dixon, a 2025 four-star guard from D.C., has Syracuse basketball in his top six and will make his commitment announcement on September 27. The ‘Cuse isn’t expected to prevail for Dixon, I’ve been told.

Beyond the verbal pledge from White, Syracuse basketball coaches continue to pursue several other 2025 prospects, as far as I can tell. They include four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony from New York City, who has the Orange in his top six, officially visited last fall, and recently conducted an in-home visit with the ‘Cuse staff.

Others include four-star point guard Tyler Jackson from Baltimore, four-star wing/forward Shon Abaev from Florida, four-star wing Ryder Frost from Massachusetts and four-star big man Asher Elson from New York City. Jackson, Abaev and Frost have taken official visits to Syracuse basketball.
