Man dies after being approached by private security in Sacramento County

(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances behind a man who died after a private security guard tried to detain him on Saturday morning.

Around 9 a.m., SCSO responded to the 2700 block of Fulton Avenue. Deputies said that during the encounter between the man and the security guard, the man became unresponsive and died at the hospital. The reason behind the man’s attempted detention is unclear, according to SCSO.

Arrest made in fatal hit-and-run Sacramento County crash

SCSO said homicide detectives are at the scene, however, the case is not being considered as a criminal one.
