Injured Liverpool superstar to be fit for Real Madrid clash in the UCL

Liverpool recently suffered a massive blow when their star full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold picked up an injury against Aston Villa.

The Englishman’s knock led many to believe that he could miss Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League affair against Real Madrid later this month.

Alexander-Arnold to be available vs Real Madrid

However, in a blow for Real Madrid, it appears Alexander-Arnold could be back in time for the Champions League clash, which is a must-win for Los Blancos.

According to The Times, Alexander-Arnold’s fresh hamstring injury will keep him out on the sidelines for only a couple of weeks.

The upcoming international break should give the defender some vital time to recover and get back to full fitness.

This, of course, does mean that the right-back will miss England’s upcoming UEFA Nations League games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.

But everything suggests Alexander-Arnold will be ready for action once Liverpool resume their campaign after the international break.

The England right-back could even be available for Liverpool’s next Premier League game against Southampton, but coach Arne Slot is unlikely to take any unnecessary risk.

Alexander-Arnold’s availability against Real Madrid is interesting, particularly considering the fact that the player has been heavily linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu.

With the defender’s contract expiring at the end of the season, Real Madrid have emerged as one of the potential destinations.

The Englishman, therefore, will be looking to make a major impact against his potential future club.

Alexander-Arnold’s chances of making an impact could significantly increase following the recent set of injuries that Real Madrid have incurred, with Eder Militao being the latest player to be ruled out with a long-term injury.
