Koby Brea’s nuclear shooting helps Kentucky Basketball make history

Date:

The Kentucky Wildcats returned to action on Tuesday night as they raced past the Lipscomb Bisons in Rupp Arena.

Led by Jaxson Robinson and Otega Oweh, it’s actually Koby Brea who continues to produce at a nuclear rate on the offensive end of the floor.

Entering the portal from Dayton last season, Brea was the best three point shooter in college basketball for the Flyers. Well, that is trending like it will come true in Lexington as well.

Through the first four games of the season, Brea is shooting 15/19 from deep for a blistering 78.9%. To put into perspective, according to Cory Price of the UK Sports Network, that is better than the leading free throw shooter for the Cats in 10 of the last 26 seasons.

Brea’s nuclear shooting has actually helped Kentucky make history in terms of 3-point shooting. According to Price, no team in program history has ever hit at least 10 3s in their first four games.

Price also noted that this is the first Kentucky basketball team to score at least 97 points in three of their first four games of a season since the 1970-71 campaign.

There is a reason all of the blue-blood programs were after Brea. Luckily he ended up in Lexington, in what seems like the perfect offense to showcase his skill set.
