Manchester City receive a huge boost ahead of Tottenham clash

Manchester City take on Tottenham this Saturday as the Premier League returns following the international break. It promises to be a massive game in front of an electric atmosphere at the Etihad. Heading into the game, it appears that Pep Guardiola’s side has received a massive boost on the injury front. A host of City’s key players have been pictured training which is massive news ahead of Saturday’s match.

In images shared via Manchester City’s official X account a key quartet of City’s players have been pictured training. Manuel Akanji, John Stones, Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne have all been pictured training ahead of Saturday’s match. That is welcome news for the world champions.

It is no secret that Manchester City have lost their past four games in all competitions. In all four of those defeats Manchester City’s performances have seen them rightfully lose all four of those games. But the injury crisis Pep Guardiola’s squad has had to deal with has also played a part. But it now looks like four of City’s players are now on the comeback trail.

John Stones, Manuel Akanji and Jack Grealish all appear to be in contention to feature in Saturday’s match. Each player didn’t feature for their countries over the recent international break. The break they all had seems to have had the desired effect based on the images shared by Manchester City. Kevin De Bruyne is working his way back to full fitness and has featured in City’s past two games against Sporting CP and Brighton as a second half substitute.

Manchester City look to have received a boost ahead of Saturday’s clash with Tottenham. It is welcome news to see four of City’s players back training ahead of a massive game on Saturday.
