OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Section conducted an undercover operation targeting adults looking to meet minors online for sexual encounters throughout November.
According to an OCSO news release, “Operation Cold Turkey” led to the arrests of nine people.

The operation is part of OCSO’s effort to protect children from predators, the release said.
Throughout the investigation, the suspects would travel to a predetermined location to meet the juveniles but were then taken into custody by OCSO investigators.
The following people were arrested in the operation and charged with traveling to meet a minor for sex, use of a computer to solicit a minor for sex, and use of a two-way communication device to commit a felony:

The OCSO news release said Spears faces an additional charge of possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony.
According to the release, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case with the help of the Crestview Police Department, Fort Walton Beach Police Department, Niceville Police Department, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Office of Special Investigations.
