Roma with most negative record in 46 years after Napoli defeat

The defeat against Napoli was the sixth negative result in Roma’s Serie A season.

The 1-0 defeat against Napoli at the Maradona left Roma in twelfth place with 13 points in the standings, just 4 above the relegation zone.

With yesterday’s defeat, in fact, the Giallorossi have reached the negative record last recorded 46 years ago.

The record in question dates back to the numbers of the 1978/79 season, writes ForzaRoma.info.

Today, as then, Roma have collected fewer than four wins in the first thirteen matchdays of Serie A.

Furthermore, it has been 20 years since Roma have been this close to the relegation zone after thirteen rounds.

The closest reference is to the 2004/05 season, when the gap was 3 points: that, moreover, was the year of five coaches (Prandelli, Voeller, Sella, Delneri, Conti) and Roma finished eighth.
