San Jose Airport is preparing for an ambitious Thanksgiving travel week, with over 250,000 international arrivals expected and smooth operations planned.

The Thanksgiving rush is in full swing as millions embark on journeys to reunite with loved ones.

With airports bracing for record-breaking crowds, the holiday travel season is proving busier than ever. AAA estimates nearly 80 million Americans will hit the roads or take to the skies this week.

San Jose Airport alone anticipates welcoming over 250,000 travelers before the week is out. The travel surge began last Friday, and airport staff have so far managed to steer clear of significant delays.

Passengers are urged to plan ahead, arriving at least two hours before domestic flights and three hours early for international departures, particularly during peak times. For those planning to park at the airport, officials recommend securing spots early.

While air travel dominates, it’s not the only option in demand. AAA reports that 71 million Thanksgiving travelers will opt for alternative transportation, showcasing the holiday’s widespread mobility.
