The French Canadian tennis star popped the question the day after Thanksgiving and shared the news (and a stunning photo) on Instagram.
Wedding bells will soon be ringing for Félix Auger-Aliassime and his longtime girlfriend Nina Ghaibi.
The day after Thanksgiving, the 24-year-old tennis star took to Instagram to announce the engagement by posting two stunning new photos of the happily engaged couple. Dressed in all white, they stood against a seaside backdrop complete with a romantic sunset. “Couldn’t have dreamt of a better forever 🥰❤️💍,” he said in the post.
Fans were quick to send waves of congratulatory comments. The photo itself quickly earned more than 30,000 likes. But some of Auger-Aliassime’s fellow tennis players also chimed in with some praise, too.
“Congratulations!” said ATP tennis player Hubert Hurkacz, in a short-and-sweet post.
“Finally, someone to share a Netflix password with forever,” wrote Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas. “Congratulations Felix!”

The French Canadian pro and Ghaibi have kept a relatively low profile when it comes to their romantic relationship, so not much is known about them beyond the the occasional romantic posts they decide to share on social media. But the couple has made their fair share of notable public appearances throughout the years. They attended their first Met Gala in 2021, and Ghaibi has been by Auger-Aliassime’s side at numerous events. She’s also been a regular fixture at all of her now-fiancé’s tennis matches and the two have also been featured in Netflix’s tennis docuseries, Break Point.
Back on March 22, 2021, Auger-Aliassime marked the couple’s two-year anniversary, with a carousel of romantic photos with Ghaibi on Instagram. “Well, I’m pretty happy our paths crossed two years ago 😘,” he said in the post. “Two years of love and happiness. To many more in the future 🥰❤️.”
