SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 23-24 all-time against Brandeis in a series that dates back to the 1974-75 campaign.
• The Beavers have won two straight and five of the last seven meetings between the teams since 2013.
• The Green and White has split it last two visits to Red Auerbach Arena, which includes an 88-76 victory in December 2022.
• Over the last seven games between the teams, only two have been decided by eight points or less.
LAST MEETING
• Senior Nate Amado poured in a game-high 26 points to go along with 10 rebounds to lead three players in double figures as the Beavers defeated Brandeis, 78-65, on November 22, 2023, in Babson Park.
• Steph Baxter M’24 added 19 points and junior Timmy O’Toole scored a career-high 17 points to go along with 15 rebounds and four steals for the Beavers, who closed the first half with a 24-10 run and led by as many as 23 with less than five minutes to play.
• Quron Zene finished with 13 points and nine rebounds and Toby Harris added 13 points and six boards for the Judges, who shot just 34.5 percent in the loss.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (2-3) snapped a two-game skid with an 83-50 rout of Albertus Magnus on Wednesday afternoon.
• Graduate student Felix Kloman scored 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting, classmate Alex Stoddard added a season-high 15 points and sophomore NeJohn Fortes contributed 10 points and five rebounds for the Beavers, who knocked down a season-high 16 three-pointers.
• Kloman (18.4 pts, 4.2 reb, 2.0 blk) has scored in double figures in four of his first five starts, Amado (16.8 pts, 7.8 reb, 4.2 ast) leads the team in both rebounds and assists, and first-year Timmy Mulvey (12.8 pts, 3.4 ast) is shooting 53.8 percent from the floor and 60 percent from three-point range.
• The Green and White is averaging 75.8 points on 45.9 percent shooting over its first five games.
SCOUTING THE JUDGES
• Brandeis (5-0) continued its unbeaten start with a 90-61 demolition of Regis back on November 23.
• Harris scored 15 points, Elias Rodl contributed 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting off the bench and Jack Bender recorded 11 points for the Judges, who knocked down 15 three-pointers and finished with 23 assists on 33 made field goals.
• Harris (18.6 pts, 7.4 reb) leads the team in scoring and is shooting 56.4 percent, Rodl (13.2 pts, 4.2 reb) is shooting 69.4 percent from the floor and is 8-of-11 from beyond the arc, and Sam Adusei is averaging 11.8 points and a team-high 4.8 assists while shooting 57.1 percent.
• Brandeis ranks in the top 10 in Division III in scoring offense (95.4) and shooting percentage (53.3) and owns a 10.6 rebounding margin.
CASE DISMISSED
• In two career starts against the Judges, Amado is averaging 21.0 points on 47.2 percent shooting to go along with 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
• Not to be outdone, O’Toole is averaging 13.0 points, 10.0 boards and 2.5 steals while shooting 73.3 percent (11-of-15) from the floor.
EFFICIENT OFFENSES
• The Beavers, who averaged 1.23 points per possession in Wednesday’s win over Albertus Magnus, is averaging 1.10 points per possession over their first five games.
• Babson has outscored its foes by more than 11 points per game from the beyond the arc, while shooting 53.1 percent on two-point field goal attempts and committing a turnover on just 16.5 percent of its possessions.
• Brandeis is averaging 1.23 points per possession while shooting better than 60 percent inside the arc and 44.9 percent from long distance.
BEAVER BITES
• Mulvey ranks seventh in Division III in three-point percentage (60.0) and 16th in three-point field goals per game (3.60).
• O’Toole grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds in Wednesday’s win over Albertus Magnus and has pulled down at least two offensive boards in nine consecutive games going back to February of last season.
• Amado has scored in double figures in 12 of his last 13 games going back to last season.
• Fortes has scored 10 points in back-to-back games while shooting 63.6 percent.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers have scored at least 76 points in four of their first five games.
• Babson is 2-2 this season and 14-6 going back to the start of last year when leading at halftime.
