COLUMBIA — There wasn’t much wrong with South Carolina women’s basketball‘s offense to start the top-10 matchup against Duke on Thursday night, and despite a sloppier second half, the No. 4 Gamecocks (8-1) snapped the Blue Devils’ six game win streak with an 81-70 win.
South Carolina shot 11-of-18 (61%) from the field in the first quarter of the SEC/ACC Challenge. By halftime, South Carolina had held Duke’s two leading scorers, Ashlon Jackson and Reigan Richardson to three points each.
