Türkiye’s Stunning Resort City Antalya Recognized As D-8’s 2025 Tourism City Of The Year – Travel And Tour World

Antalya, the resort city of Turkey, has been honored with the 2025 Tourism City of the Year Award by the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, according to Anadolu Agency.

With its deep historical significance, hosting numerous civilizations over the centuries, Antalya seamlessly combines cultural heritage with stunning natural landscapes, providing an exceptional experience for every visitor, shared Turkey’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, on X.

Antalya has become the first city in Turkey to receive this prestigious award, with Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy highlighting that it remains one of the world’s most popular travel destinations.

Ersoy also expressed his gratitude to all the partners who played a role in achieving this remarkable recognition.

The D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, also known as the Developing-8, fosters collaboration between Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.

In 2023, Antalya welcomed 16.5 million tourists. Revered as a gem of the Turkish Riviera, the city aims to surpass 17 million visitors in 2024.

Antalya attracts tourists from over 180 countries, including Russia, Germany, the UK, Poland, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Romania, and Ukraine.
