With less than three days until it begins, LIV Golf has announced the field for its 2024 Promotions event at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia.

“Building on our first and highly successful LIV Golf Promotions in 2023, the interest has only increased this year as one deserving player will earn the chance to compete in the LIV Golf League,” outgoing LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman said in a release. “The strong interest underscores the significance of creating more opportunities in our global sport to ensure current and rising stars of the game can build their careers and compete at the highest level.”

Ninety-three players representing 30 countries will be in the field for the three-day, four-round event. The winner will earn a spot on the LIV Golf League for 2025.

The total purse will be $1.5 million, while the top 10 finishers, including ties, will earn full exemption into all 2025 events on the Asian Tour’s International Series.

There will be four rounds of stroke play. After the first 18 holes, only the top 20 and ties advance to the second round. Scores will be reset, then the top 20 will advance to the final two rounds, with ties to be determined by a playoff. Then the scores will be reset again before the third and final round, where the leader after 36 holes will earn a spot in the LIV Golf League.

Every player who advances to the second round will receive at least $10,000. Those who play in only the first round will get $5,000. Amateurs will get $1,000 regardless of finishing position.

Among the biggest names in the field for the Promotions event is former world No. 1 amateur Ollie Schniederjans, as well as his brother, Luke. Martin Trainer, who missed 12 of his last 14 cuts on the PGA Tour in 2024, is among the former Tour players in the field. Only two amateurs are in the field.

Former LIV Golf players Hudson Swafford, a 2024 wild card player, and relegated players Branden Grace, Kalle Samooja, Scott Vincent and Kieran Vincent will all tee it up to regain status.
