The Cowboys have the roof open at AT&T Stadium four hours before the start of Monday Night Football.
They attempted to open the roof before their Monday night game against the Texans on Nov. 18, but a piece of metal along with debris fell onto the playing field. Another piece of metal became lodged in the catwalk above the field, and workers bolted it to the frame to prevent it from falling before the start of pregame warmups.
The team said a covering lid to one of the cable trays was torn loose by high winds in Arlington before the game.
No one was injured, and the Cowboys and Texans played with the roof closed.
The Cowboys have not played a game with the roof open since Oct. 30, 2022, against the Bears.
Since the stadium opened in 2009, the Cowboys are 2-5 all time with the roof open and the retractable end zone doors closed.
The game-time temperature is expected to be 56 degrees with a north wind of 9 mph tonight.
