Flyers Star Hits Big Career Milestone

On Dec. 4, Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Travis Sanheim was named to Canada’s 4 Nations Face-Off roster. It was undoubtedly earned, as the left-shot defenseman has played marvelously this season.

Now, Sanheim has followed that up by hitting a nice new career milestone.

In the Flyers’ 4-3 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins, Sanheim had two assists. With this, he hit the 200-point mark of his career. It took him 524 games to reach it.

With this solid performance, Sanheim now has five goals, 17 points, and a plus-13 rating in 27 games. This is after he set career highs with 10 goals, 34 assists, and 44 points with the Flyers last season. Thus, since the 2023-24 season, Sanheim has recorded 61 points in 108 games alone.

Sanheim’s offensive game has hit a new level in recent seasons, and he has now reached the 200-point mark because of it. It will be fascinating to see how long it takes him to reach 300 career points from here.
