Anderlecht set to be without young star for four to six weeks

As reported by Het Nieuwsblad, Anderlecht have been dealt a blow with the news that young midfielder Mario Stroeykens is set to be out injured for at least a month. The youngster suffered torn ligaments during the sides 2-1 victory over bottom of the table Beerschot. The 20-year-old is just the latest player that Anderlecht have lost to injury this season.

Stroeykens has been having a decent season for the Mauves. The midfielder has scored three goals and grabbed four assists in 17 league games. The youngster has also played seven games in the Europa league, grabbing one assist. Last year Stroeykens played 40 games for Anderlecht in all competitions, scoring six and providing six assists.

Anderlecht have travelled to Slavia Prague for their next game in the Europa League. The side from Brussels have done well in the competition so far and should qualify for the next round.
