DAV girls shine in cricket tourneys – The Tribune

Date:

Three girl students — Mishika Sood, Vaidehi Duggal and Pranika Jain — of DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, gave good of themselves in the Punjab Schools U-14 Cricket Tournament. Mishika, captain of the Ludhiana team, performed well with the bat and ball. She remained unbeaten on 35 runs in the quarterfinal of 8-overs each side against Bathinda and also remained unconquered on 26 in the final against Patiala.

Mishika was adjudged the best wicketkeeper-batswoman of the tournament. Ludhiana lost to Patiala on the last ball of the match and had to content with the second position.

Vaidehi and Pranika, medium pace bowlers, also made their presence felt, bowling very economically. The school management appreciated girls for fine performance and their coach Amandeep Singh.
