2 masked individuals ‘target’ Cheektowaga home in break in, shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two unknown individuals allegedly forced their way into a Cheektowaga residence Tuesday afternoon and fired several gunshots in what police called a targeted incident, officials announced.

Just after 12 p.m., Cheektowaga police received multiple 911 calls reporting the sound of gunshots around Sandstone Drive. Upon arrival, officers found two homeowners inside the residence who said they were uninjured.

It is reported that the two individuals, who were in masks, targeted the specific residence for unknown reasons, police said. The type of weapon the shots were fired from remains unknown.

Police said currently, no one has reported being injured by the gunfire.

The investigation remains ongoing.
