Aerial Footage Shows Wildfire Threatening Homes in Malibu

Date:

A wildfire in the mountains of Malibu, California, spread rapidly in the early morning hours of December 10, threatening homes and the campus of Pepperdine University.

Thousands in the Los Angeles community were without power and forced to evacuate or seek shelter as high winds and dry conditions fueled the Franklin fire.

According to the Los Angeles Times, more than half of Malibu had been ordered to evacuate. The fire, which started on December 9, grew rapidly to more than 2,000 acres by early Tuesday, Cal Fire said.
