Homeland Security operation leads to pursuit, crash and arrests in St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A police pursuit involving two vehicles ended with a collision near I-270 and I-44 on Wednesday afternoon. Four suspects have been arrested, while one remains on the run.

Investigators tell FOX 2 that the pursuit was part of a Homeland Security task force operation.

Three suspects in one vehicle have since been taken into custody. A driver in a second pursued vehicle crashed nearby. One of the two suspects in that second vehicle is in custody, while the other is on the run.

As a precaution, the Lindbergh School District delayed dismissing students. Schools held students until 3 p.m. when police confirmed the area was secure.
