Lazio coach Marco Baroni is ready to change formations against Inter Milan, with Matias Vecino potentially starting.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Lazio have been in outstanding form this season since Baroni took over.
The former Lecce and Hellas Verona coach did not take long to find the right formula.
Baroni has typically gone with a 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-4 formation. He has relied on two midfielders – typically Nicolo Rovella and Matteo Guendouzi – to glue the team together.
However, against Inter on Monday, reports Tuttosport, Baroni is ready to change things up.
Lazio Coach Baroni To Switch Formations Vs Inter – Vecino Could Start
Inter will undoubtedly be some of the most formidable opposition Lazio have faced so far this season.
And in view of this, Tuttosport reports, Baroni aims to beef things up in the midfield battle.
Rovella and Guendouzi will keep their places in the midfield. But a third central midfielder will join them.
According to Tuttosort, this will either be former Inter and Fiorentina midfielder Matias Vecino, or Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
Meanwhile, Tuttosport predict, Baroni will use an attacking trio of captain Mattia Zacagni, Tijani Noslin, and Gustav Isaksen.
Striker Taty Castellanos will be absent due to suspension.
