Overheard after Syracuse basketball’s loss to Georgetown: ‘It’s going to sting for a while’

Date:

Syracuse, N.Y. —Just imagine if I was able to transport myself from right now to some date in the past when the Syracuse-Georgetown basketball rivalry was at its peak and tell you that one day the Hoyas would get the best of the Orange using a zone defense.

Adding that Syracuse is a football town now with a basketball problem (and you’ll never guess who is President!…again) would surely prompt you to slide away from me slowly but surely.
