Steve Stricker shows his brilliantly ‘boring’ side ahead of PNC Championship

Date:

Steve Stricker doesn’t take offense if anyone considers him “boring.” In fact, he takes it as motivation.

“If someone calls me boring, or my game boring, it’s not a negative to me at all,” Stricker says in a docu-style film. “It proved to work for me. And boring can transition very quickly into brilliant.”

Stricker was the focus of PNC Bank’s latest installment of “Boring Before Brilliance, “a film series featuring athletes, artists and musicians, providing “an inside look into the boring moments and rituals that fuel brilliant outcomes.”

Stricker, who is competing in the upcoming PNC Championship for the second time with daughter Izzi, is a 12-time PGA Tour winner and seven-time major winner on the PGA Tour Champions. He’s was also twice named PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year.

The “Boring Before Brilliance” series was created in partnership with creative AOR Arnold and DLP Media Group, the award-winning production company behind ESPN’s “30 for 30,” among other sports-focused documentaries. It can be viewed below:
