Which Milan players were insulted – and which spared in angry fan protest

Only some Milan players were pelted with insults as ultras continued their protest outside the club event to celebrate their 125th anniversary, including Rafael Leao, Fikayo Tomori, Theo Hernandez and Alvaro Morata.

The Curva Sud gathered outside the party to mark 125 years since the club was founded, but a statement on their Instagram page made clear “there is nothing to celebrate.”

Having been jeered off the pitch after last night’s 0-0 draw at San Siro, the players were also targeted in this event as they arrived in the Tortona area of Milano.

The situation was so tense that President Gerry Cardinale and directors were made to enter via a side entrance to avoid the confrontation with the fans.

Coach Paulo Fonseca was greeted with silence, while there were cheers for a few players – most notably Francesco Camarda, Christian Pulisic, Mike Maignan, Tijjani Reijnders and Youssouf Fofana.

However, Rafael Leao, Theo Hernandez, Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham, Davide Calabria, Marco Sportiello and more were all greeted with the same insulting and very loud chant: ‘Show some balls.’
