The Panthers ended the season for two of their linebackers on Tuesday.
They announced that they have placed Trevin Wallace and Claudin Cherelus on injured reserve. With three games left and the Panthers eliminated from playoff contention, there won’t be a chance for either player to return to action.
Wallace was a third-round pick this year and he started eight of the 13 games he played. He had 64 tackles, a sack, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in those appearances.
Cherelus had 28 tackles in 13 games. He also played in six games for Carolina in 2023.
The Panthers signed wide receiver Dan Chisena and linebacker Jacoby Windmon off of the practice squad to fill the open roster spots.
