A man has been charged with 17 offences after he allegedly threatened staff at a WA pub with a rifle, before assaulting another man.
Police allege that about 8.30pm yesterday, 41-year-old Gregory John Taylor entered a licensed premise in Mogumber, about 120 kilometres north east of Perth.
After he was allegedly kicked out of the venue earlier, police said Taylor re-entered the pub and threatened three of the staff members, then fired a shot from the rifle into the ground.
When another member of staff attempted to intervene, police said he was assaulted by the 41-year-old.
Taylor then left the scene and was followed by police helicopter and numerous officers.
He was arrested about 10.40pm that evening at a home in New Norcia, about 23km away from the town centre.
Taylor faced court today charged with 17 offences including discharging a firearm, aggravated burglary, threats to kill and four counts of pointing a firearm at another person.
The 41-year-old did not apply for bail and will stay behind bars until he’s before the courts again next month.
