The Cardinals designated their kicker, Matt Prater, to return from injured reserve Wednesday. He underwent knee surgery after Week 4.
Prater is 6-for-6 on field goals and 10-for-10 on extra points this season.
Chad Ryland has replaced Prater.
The Cardinals also announced they promoted punter Michael Palardy to the 53-player roster.
Palardy replaced Blake Gillikin, who had his Pro Bowl-type season end with a foot injury. In his first game last week against the Patriots, Palardy averaged 48.5 yards a punt.
The Cardinals also brought back running back Tony Jones Jr. to the practice squad with Emari Demercado on IR, and they signed linebacker Deshawn Banks with Jesse Luketa injured. Luketa posted photos on social media of him wearing a large brace on his leg after hurting his thigh against the Patriots.
