Report: Chargers to activate Hayden Hurst for Thursday night’s game

Date:

The Chargers offense is set to get a little reinforcement for Thursday night’s game against the Broncos.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the team plans to activate tight end Hayden Hurst from injured reserve ahead of the game. Hurst was designated to return earlier this week and was listed as questionable to be in the lineup.

Hurst has been sidelined with a hip injury since Week 10 and he has missed seven games overall this season. He had seven catches for 65 yards when he was on the field.

Getting Hurst back this week is good timing for the Chargers. Will Dissly has been ruled out for Thursday with a shoulder injury, so Hurst gives them some added depth for the divisional matchup.
