ST. LOUIS – Authorities say three masked suspects recently assaulted and robbed a man in a Downtown St. Louis parking garage while he responded to his vehicle’s alarm.
The robbery happened at a parking garage in the 800 block of North 11th Street, just a few blocks from the Dome at America’s Center.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department did not disclose the date or time the robbery happened, but the department described the incident in its Saturday crime summary report.
Investigators say the victim’s key fob for his vehicle alerted him that the vehicle’s alarm was sounding. The victim, a 28-year-old man, responded to the parking garage to check on his vehicle.

When he arrived, the victim observed three masked suspects exiting his vehicle through the sun roof.
Moments later, police say the three masked suspects chased the victim down in the garage, tackled him, and physically struck him with a gun. The suspects took off with the victim’s proxy card and escaped from the garage in a different vehicle.
