Ivan Pace set to return to practice for Vikings

Date:

Safety Harrison Smith may not be the only defensive player returning to the Vikings lineup in Week 17.

Head coach Kevin O’Connell said on Monday that the team is going to designate linebacker Ivan Pace for return from injured reserve this week. Pace has been out since injuring his hamstring in Week 12.

Pace has started all nine games he’s played for the Vikings this season. He has 59 tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown.

Smith sat out Sunday’s win over the Seahawks with a foot injury, but O’Connell said after that game that he expects him back to face the Packers.
