Marcus Nguyen Commits To Nebraska Omaha

Brandon Wheat Kings forward Marcus Nguyen has committed to Nebraska Omaha, it was announced on social media earlier this week.

Nguyen, a product of Calgary, Alta., is in his overage season with the Wheat Kings, having collected 15 goals and 16 assists for 31 points in 29 games.

Drafted by the Portland Winterhawks in the 11th round of th 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, Nguyen spent parts of four seasons with the team before moving to Brandon this offseason. Over 245 career regular season games, he has collected 85 goals and 90 assists for 175 points.

With Nguyen joining the Mavericks in 2025, they will be getting a skilled forward who makes plays with the puck on his stick. Whether creating chances for himself or finding teammates in high danger areas, Nguyen has the necessary skills to make a smooth transition.
