Four arrested on drug charges by Washington County deputies

MARIETTA — Four people from the Akron/Canton area were arrested and charged with drug offenses after a traffic stop on Thursday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced at a [press conference this morning.

Deputies found a quarter pound each of fentanyl and methamphetamine, Deputy Sheriff Justin Peters said. The drugs were found by a police dog, he said.

The four have been lodged in the Washington County Jail.
