The Marietta Civitan Club recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to three 2024 Washington County graduating seniors to help them continue their education.

With these awards, the Club continues a scholarship program that has benefitted students since 1969.

Seniors from all six Washington County high schools were eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Each applicant was required to complete an application and submit an essay and references. Finalists were then interviewed by the scholarship committee.

Recipients were chosen based on a number of criteria, including school and community activities, scholarship and need.
