Summer is just around the bend, and plenty of new businesses are popping up along the way.
Here’s what’s new in the Eastern Shore business world this week.
Princess Anne
Sugar Water
11784 Somerset Ave.
Sugar Water at the Washington Hotel has begun its soft opening phase. The brand-new restaurant, offering fresh, farm-to-table meals, is located in the historic hotel located at 11784 Somerset Ave. in downtown Princess Anne. The restaurant and hotel are now owned by Dana Zucker, and led by Chef Seth.
The soft opening phase will allow ample time to tweak the menu, complete staff training, and ensure everything is running smoothly before the restaurant’s official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony in late June, said Sugar Water in a May 24 news release.
Work on the hotel rooms is currently underway. Following interior improvements, the hotel’s 10 rooms are expected to reopen in June. The Washington Inn and Tavern underwent new ownership in March, when Westover’s Sugar Water Manor announced its intent to grow its brand after closing on the hotel.

Sailor’s Asylum

A new retail store is coming soon to The Centre of Salisbury. Sailor’s Asylum is said to be home to a mix of businesses, including Inked Tuna Tattoo, Three Tides Coffee, Kraken Kafe, Rock or Dye and Dredged & Co.
Sailor’s Asylum, which initially expressed its intent to open in January 2024, has yet to announce a new grand opening date and hours of operations. With its diverse range of businesses, Sailors Asylum is said to be a vibrant community hub.

Hebron
Triple Scoop

A new ice cream shop is coming soon to Hebron. Triple Scoop, soon to be located at 107 SW Railroad Avenue, has not yet announced a grand opening date nor hours of operation.
“Wish us luck on our next adventure,” said Bee Helmer with Kathryn Gross in a recent Facebook post. “Triple Scoop coming to Hebron soon. Will keep you updated on opening day!”

AGHRx RediScripts Pharmacy

The small town of Berlin recently welcomed Atlantic General Hospital’s new location, AGHRx RediScripts Pharmacy, to 10614 Racetrack Road, Suite 7, in the Gudelsky Family Medical Center. According to its website, the pharmacy is now open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and closed Saturdays and Sundays.
RediScripts is a full-service pharmacy offering a wide range of services, including medication reviews, vaccines, allergen-free flavoring options, Medicare D plan comparisons and more. The pharmacy also offers curbside medication delivery for patients with mobility issues and those who prefer not to enter the hospital.

Dewey Beach
Woody’s 2 Go

Woody’s 2 Go, a spin-off of Woody’s Dewey Beach Bar and Grill, is now open for business in Dewey Beach. The brand-new takeout spot, owned by Jimmy O’Conor, is located at 1905 Coastal Highway, right across the road from the restaurant.
Woody’s 2 Go is offering the restaurant’s most popular dishes, such as crab cakes, crab pretzel, shrimp tacos, cheesesteaks, wings and much more. According to its website, the takeout spot is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
