A new pet supply store with roots in service dog training has opened for business in downtown Washington.

On July 23, a grand opening was held for Gray’s Pet Supply, located at 208 S. Marion Ave., according to a release from the Washington Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to the pet supply store, owner Whitney Gray also operates a service and therapy dog training service, Gray Canine Rescue and Rehab, with co-owners Thadd Gray and Chase Dieleman.

Ms. Gray “has a long history of serving our community through her home business,” stated the release.

Continuing the tradition of community service, Gray’s Pet Supply will be offering continuous silent auctions for pet supplies.

“Every week, you can bid on amazing items, and 50% of the proceeds will be donated to local non-profits. This week’s auction closes on Saturday, and the funds will go to support Paws & More,” according to the release.
