Dubai- Dubai continues to break records with its rapid development particularly in the construction sector.

Home to the world’s tallest building, Dubai is also home to the world’s largest shopping center which is now set for further expansion.

The Dubai Mall currently spanning 12 million square feet is expanding to include 240 additional stores and hotels. This mall already features the world’s largest mall aquarium, a digital art museum, a 150-million-year-old dinosaur skeleton, a cinema complex with 26 screens and much more.

To cater to the increasing number of tourists further expansion is planned. However, the start date for this construction project is not yet clear.

The expansion project will cost over $400 million.

In addition to this, Dubai had previously announced a project to construct an air-conditioned highway.

Details of this project were revealed in February 2023 outlining a 58-mile-long highway called “The Loop.” This highway will feature a roof and will primarily serve cyclists and pedestrians.

The purpose of this project is to enable people to reach any part of Dubai by foot or bicycle promoting a vehicle-free and green corridor for exploring the city.
