Report: Sunderland Enter Race to Sign PSG Youngster; Compete with Basel, Roma

Date:

Paris Saint-Germain only have a handful of hours left to offload players who don’t have a future in the French capital. One player drawing late interest is 19-year-old Ayman Kari, as an English club could make a last-minute swoop.

Kari spent last season with FC Lorient and returned to the French capital, the midfielder doesn’t have a place on the PSG squad and now teams keen on the player are beginning to emerge.

During his time with Lorient, Kari made 15 total appearances for the French club, scoring one goal and registering one assist. Le10Sport previously reported that FC Basel and especially AS Roma, are monitoring the situation of the young PSG midfielder.

However, the French media outlet reported on Thursday that these two clubs aren’t alone as another team enter the race. According to Le10Sport, Sunderland are actively working to secure the loan of Kari to bolster their squad for the 2024-25 season.

Sunderland have won their first three matches of the Championship season and Kari could help with their promotion aspirations.
