Serie A giants Roma could yet make another signing this summer and they are interested in signing Mats Hummels on deadline day.
The German centre-back left Borussia Dortmund after the expiry of his contract and previously rejected a move to Bologna. There was talk of him moving to Mallorca but he hasn’t made a decision about his future yet.
Sky Italia state that his name has come in vogue for Roma today once again and they could sign another centre-back after the potential arrival of Tiago Djalo from Juventus.
Contacts between the two parties are ongoing and they are said to be continuous, as they look to find an agreement over the centre-back’s wages.
It was previously reported that Hummels was offered to multiple clubs in Italy but Roma hadn’t come forward back then. They could now be making that attempt again as they look to bolster the backline, as Kevin Danso’s medical failed late last night.
