Danilo Pereira (32) has completed a switch from Paris Saint-Germain to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad. The move brings an end to a four-year spell at the Parc des Princes.
Since arriving at PSG, initially on loan back in October 2020, from Porto, Danilo has been a useful squad player, although rarely a nailed-on starter. He went on to make 157 appearances for Les Parisiens, scoring ten goals and registering three assists in that time. Under Luis Enrique, the Portugal international’s (74 appearances, two goals) game time dwindled.
With the arrival of Willian Pacho earlier in the summer, Danilo was informed that he could leave. It took until the final day of the Saudi transfer window for Portugal international to complete his departure. He joins Al-Ittihad, managed by former Olympique Lyonnais and PSG manager Laurent Blanc. The defender has signed a two-year deal with the Saudi Pro League club in a deal reportedly worth around €5m.
