Redemption Rewind: A championship parade that no rain could ruin

Two months have passed since the Florida Panthers held the first championship parade in franchise history.

Rain soaked much of the afternoon’s festivities, though you couldn’t tell based off how much fun everyone appeared to be having.

It was six days after the Panthers defeated Edmonton in Game 7 at Amerant Bank Arena.

The team spent those several days following the win celebrating with the Stanley Cup at different places across South Florida, from nightclubs and restaurants to beachfront bars and even the Atlantic Ocean.

When the day of the parade arrived, fans began lining up along the planned route along Fort Lauderdale Beach hours before it began.

What began as a beautiful Sunday morning weather wise began deteriorating as the parade began, but the rain didn’t seem to bother anybody, including and especially the Panthers players.

By the time everyone got to the stage, everyone was in party mode. The speeches were spectacular.
