Ex-PSG Sensation Reveals the Game-Changing Style He Plans to Unleash at Man Utd

Manuel Ugarte made the switch to Manchester United last Friday, just before the summer transfer window closed. Moreover, the Uruguayan elaborated on the playing style he intends to bring to Old Trafford.

According to several reports, PSG are set to receive a fixed fee of €50 million for Ugarte’s transfer to Manchester United, an additional €10 million in potential add-ons and a 10 percent sell-on clause.

Journalist Duncan Castles also noted last week that PSG harbors no ill will towards Ugarte and expects him to become a future key player for Manchester United.

If any supporters of the Red Devils haven’t seen the former PSG standout in action, the midfielder outlined his ball-winning style to let everyone know what to expect from him this 2024-25 season.

“It’s about fighting for every ball like it was your very last,” Ugarte said (h/t The Mirror). “It’s something totally natural that you find in Uruguayan players and it’s down to lots of things – the background and context we’ve played in and because there are so few of us.

Uruguay is a tiny country, but it’s won and achieved a lot. It produces good players and this is also down to that ‘garra charrúa’, which means basically giving everything you’ve got, no matter what the situation.”

The 23-year-old penned a contract until 2029, so supporters will soon see what the player brings to the table following the international break when he makes his Manchester United debut.
