Spain manager issues update on Barcelona youngster’s fitness after medical checkup

Nobody wants to see more injuries or unnecessary risks, and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) is no different. To ensure everyone’s peace of mind, particularly the players’, the RFEF sent Lamine Yamal for a medical check-up yesterday.

The Spanish coach, Luis de la Fuente, confirmed, “He is fine,” and mentioned that Yamal had suffered a minor knock during the match against Valladolid.

“He is fine. He had a small discomfort from a knock from the match. He had trained normally and is very young and inexperienced in this type of situation. He has had some tests and is completely calm,” explained the coach as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

The coach was eager to clarify further: “It’s nothing serious, just a knock, nothing more. I’ve seen him calm. He’s a very composed boy, mature beyond his years.

“When he’s with us, he behaves more like a seasoned player than a teenager. He has to get used to being in the spotlight, but he’s handling it well and will continue to grow both as a player and as a person,” he added.

It’s important to highlight that Yamal finished the game against Real Valladolid on Saturday feeling some discomfort.

As a precaution, he underwent medical examinations, which had already been arranged between Barcelona and the Spanish national team. The great news is that no serious injury was found, and Yamal is in good shape.

This proactive approach shows the care taken by both Barça and the Spanish Federation to ensure the young winger’s well-being.

With his natural talent and maturity, Yamal is bound to remain a key figure on the pitch, as long as he continues to be managed carefully. For now, the fans can rest easy knowing that he’s fit and ready to continue his rise in the world of football.
