No Injury For Inter Milan & Italy Star Despite Scare During Nations League Win Vs France

Date:

Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi did not pick up an injury in Friday’s clash between Italy and France despite a slight scare.

This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the 24-year-old was only substituted due to a bit of fatigue after an intense performance.

Inter midfielder Frattesi was in the Italy starting eleven for their Nations League clash with France on Friday.

And it was certainly an impactful display from the 24-year-old.

Frattesi scored Italy’s second goal, which put them ahead in the match. The Azzurri eventually went on to win the Nations League match 3-1.

Moreover, Frattesi’s overall display was crucial for his team’s fightback after going a goal down early on.

France took the lead after less than a minute of play. But Italy recovered from this early setback with a high-intensity and direct performance.

Inter midfielder Frattesi was the player who really set the tone as the Azzurri overran Les Bleus in midfield for much of the match in Paris.

No Injury To Davide Frattesi In Italy Vs France

Italy coach Luciano Spalletti decided to withdraw Frattesi during the second half of Friday’s match.

There was no obvious injury to the Inter midfielder.

However, Spalletti noted after the match that Frattesi had felt a bit of muscular fatigue. The coach said that the player had “caught it in time.”

This led to a bit of worry that Frattesi could have picked up a muscle injury.

That has been a bit of a persistent theme for the 24-year-old since joining Inter last summer.

Frattesi has not suffered any major injuries during that time. But there have been knocks here and there, arising from the former Sassuolo midfielder’s intensity in training and matches.

Moreover, there have been a number of minor muscle problems within Inter’s squad at the start of the season following a truncated preseason period.

But according to FCIN there are no problems for Frattesi.

The 24-year-old should be able to play for Italy in their second match of the international break against Israel.
