Missouri State basketball adds highly touted PG recruit from Vashon

Trey Williams, a three-star 2025 point guard out of St. Louis, announced his commitment to Missouri State men’s basketball and head coach Cuonzo Martin on Sunday morning.

Williams’ announcement follows his official visit to Missouri State over the weekend. He also held offers from Ole Miss, Mizzou, Saint Louis, Indiana State, Southern Illinois and Illinois State. 247Sports ranks him as the 44th-best point guard in his class.

Williams was a 5-foot-11 all-state point guard for Vashon, the reigning Class 4 state champion, and averaged 12.9 points on 48.6% shooting. He was a 44.6% shooter from deep while collecting 2.7 assists and 2.5 boards per game.

He’s the second 2025 recruit to commit to Missouri State, joining 6-foot-7 combo guard Melakih Cunningham out of Indianapolis.
