Jets sign OL Connor McGovern to practice squad

The Jets are bringing back a familiar face.

Gang Green announced Wednesday that they have signed OL Connor McGovern to the team’s practice squad. To make room for the 31-year-old, the Jets have released running back Xazavian Valladay from the practice squad.

McGovern played seven games with the Jets last season before being placed on IR on Oct. 31. After being drafted in the fifth round by the Broncos in the 2017 draft, the Missouri product played three seasons in Denver before joining Gang Green in 2020.

From 2020-22, McGovern took 3,055 offensive snaps with New York, which was the most on the team in that span.
