Bayern Munich rising star set to spark transfer war between Real Madrid and Barcelona

Date:

Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala is set to become the centre of attention in the transfer market, sparking interest from both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

As revealed by SPORT, Musiala is expected to ignite a bidding war between these two European giants.

At 21 years old, the German midfielder is already considered one of the brightest talents in Europe, having showcased his skills over the past few seasons. Bayern Munich are keen to retain him, seeing him as a crucial part of their future, but his contract, which ends in 2026, leaves room for other clubs to make offers.

Real Madrid are also closely monitoring Musiala’s situation. It is said that the club sees him as a potential fit for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

However, Madrid’s primary target for next summer remains Manchester City’s Rodri. If Musiala decides to leave Bayern, Madrid could move swiftly to secure his services, either in 2026 as a free agent or sooner if Bayern opt to sell him before his contract expires.

Then there is Barcelona

Barcelona, on the other hand, are particularly interested in Musiala, with club president Joan Laporta eyeing him as a star signing for the summer of 2025.

The club’s strategy is to make a bold statement before the next presidential elections by securing two high-profile signings, and Musiala fits that bill perfectly.

His price tag, however, won’t come cheap, with Bayern expected to demand around €130 million.

Laporta and the Barça management are working on securing a financial boost through their agreement with Nike, which would give them the financial power to compete for Musiala’s signature.

Lastly, Bayern Munich are determined to keep Musiala. Club president Herbert Hainer has publicly stated that they want him to be their next Thomas Muller, someone who could stay at the club for decades.

Bayern have already offered Musiala a new contract, but as of now, there has been no response from the player. This situation keeps top clubs like Barça and Madrid on high alert, ready to pounce if the opportunity arises.
