Tammy Abraham after Milan’s win over Venezia: “For me, it is a dream”

Date:

Serie A giants Milan picked up their first win of the new season after three games as they cruised to a 4-0 win triumph over Venezia.

It could have been much worse for Venezia, who were rather poor but Milan dropped the tempo after scoring four times in the first 30 minutes. Tammy Abraham was on the scoresheet, finding the back of the net from the spot and also impressed with his hold up in general.

It was the Englishman’s first goal for the club since arriving from Roma, having assisted once in his first game. But he spoke to Sky Italia after the game and revealed that scoring for the Rossoneri was his dream.

He said (via TMW): “For me it’s a dream, it was the first home game and there were great feelings. I wanted to help the team, doing it with a goal at San Siro is very important. The first objective is to feel good, the first penalty taker was Pulisic but Leao pushed me and I’m happy it went well.”

He has turned out to be a valuable addition to the side so far for Milan, who had Alvaro Morata return to action after an injury lay-off. But both the strikers will add a lot to the Rossoneri frontline, which was often lacking in firepower last season.

Paulo Fonseca’s side would need more of the same results in the next few weeks.
